We check the channels relevant to AI agent commerce: ChatGPT (via Stripe Agentic Commerce Suite or direct feed), Google AI Mode (via Merchant Center UCP attributes), Perplexity (via Google Merchant Center sync), Meta AI (via catalog), Microsoft Copilot (via Merchant Center + Bingbot). TikTok is not currently an agent-shopping surface and isn't scored.

Will BigCommerce ship their own scanner?

Possibly within 12 months. If they do, you'll still want the multi-surface scoring (theirs will be BC-only on BC checks), the per-release spec re-pinning, and — if you're an agency — the multi-client dashboard.

Can I export the fix list as a Jira/Linear ticket?

Paid plans expose the API; the fix list is a JSON array you can pipe into any ticket system.

Unlike Shopify, BigCommerce doesn't auto-generate the UCP discovery endpoint — it requires manual setup. This is the most common gap we see on audited BC stores. Fix path: create the /.well-known/ucp file via an edge rule or static asset; our report provides the exact JSON structure for your catalog.

Stencil theme schema is incomplete on PDPs

BC's default theme ships valid Product JSON-LD, but customized themes often strip half the fields (brand, gtin13, aggregateRating). Fix path: re-add the fields in templates/components/products/product-view.html.

GTIN missing across the catalog

BC's GTIN field is optional in the admin, so it's often blank even when the product has a known UPC. This kills Perplexity (GTIN is mandatory) and degrades Google AI Mode. Fix path: bulk import GTINs via BC's CSV import or the Channel Manager mapping UI.
